She earned an M.B.A. and B.F.A. from The University of Southern Mississippi and worked in marketing for Duff Capital Investors before moving to Denver, Colorado, where she worked as a bilingual communication specialist for Boulder County Public Health and now works remotely for the State of Connecticut.
